IMPORTANCE OF HISTORY ON REQUISITIONS

Including patient history that matches the requested exam is important when completing a requisition. If the history doesn’t match the exam being ordered or if the history is incomplete, bookings may be delayed until we can connect with you to confirm details. Please include the relevant history related to the exam for a speedier booking process. If multiple exams are requested, please include history for all exams.

We also require the patient’s provincial health care number be included on the requisition to book the exam.

URGENT CASES

Timely imaging is vital, and we continue to accommodate STAT requests whenever possible. Due to an increase in STAT-designated exams, please reserve this designation for truly urgent cases. This allows us to prioritize critical patients and maintain timely service for everyone. Thank you for your partnership in delivering quality care.

STAY CURRENT WITH REQUISITIONS

We regularly update our requisitions to improve clarity and support more efficient patient care. You can download the updated requisitions for integration into your EMR system. If you require printed copies, please contact us. Visit physicians.radiology.ca for the most current versions.

EMAIL FOR UPDATES

To improve communication and deliver updates more quickly, we recommend using email instead of fax for updates. If you’d like to start receiving updates by email, please send your name, company name, and preferred email address to bd@radiology.ca. If you’re already receiving updates by email, no further action is required. Please note: Patient exam reports cannot be sent via email.
