IMMEDIATE AVAILABILITIES
We currently have relatively immediate booking availabilities for the following exams at these clinic locations.
• Screening mammograms at our Southcentre and The Core clinics
• Bone mineral densitometry (BMD) exams at our Southcentre, Sunridge and The Core clinics. It is highly recommended that patients return to the clinic at which they had a prior BMD exam if applicable
• Bone scan exams (nuclear medicine) at Mahagony Village, Sunpark and Mayfair Place clinics
• Thyroid scan (nuclear medicine) at our Mayfair Place clinic
• General ultrasound exams at Mayfair Place clinic
• Myocardial perfusion imaging (MPI) and exercise stress test (EST) at our Mayfair Place clinic
• Whole body MRI imaging at our Mayfair Place clinic
THYROID SCANS AND MEDICATIONS
To facilitate timely and efficient scheduling of thyroid scans, please indicate on the patient requisition that you approve your patient to stop their thyroid medication prior to the scan. Once completed, kindly fax the requisition directly to Mayfair at 403-777-3001. This will allow us to contact the patient directly and minimize the need for back-and-forth communication regarding medication details.
ABUS EXPANSION
We have expanded Automated Breast Ultrasound (ABUS) to our Mahogany Village SE and Aspen Landing SW clinics. ABUS provides whole-breast imaging for patients with high breast density (Volpara scores C & D).

SYNVISC
Synvisc is temporarily unavailable nationwide. If your patient’s injection is for Synvisc, they may be able to obtain it from a pharmacy or you can consider requesting an alternative (Durolane, Monovisc, Cingal). We will advise when we have Synvisc back in stock via physicians.radiology.ca.
CPSA REGULATIONS
Just a quick reminder that CPSA regulations require all requisitions to include full referrer details—your legible name or verified electronic signature (if using EMR), practice ID, clinic address, phone, and fax number. We’re unable to process requisitions or schedule exams without this information. This applies to all submissions, whether through EMR or on paper requisitions. You may be able to save some of these details in your EMR autofill settings for convenience. To avoid delays for your patients, please ensure all requisitions are fully completed. We routinely update our requisitions to enhance clarity and support more efficient patient care. You can download the updated requisitions for integration into your EMR system. When faxing requisitions to Mayfair, please use the designated fax numbers listed below. These numbers are also available at the top of our requisition forms and on our website at physicians.radiology.ca. Please note that using any other Mayfair fax numbers may result in processing delays.

TRANSLATION
If your patient is more comfortable communicating in a language other than English, we recommend they bring a family member or friend (aged 16 or older) to assist with translation. Some exams require forms to be completed on-site. Please note that Mayfair does not provide interpreter services, so any translation support must be arranged in advance by the patient.
23 LANGUAGES AVAILABLE ON PATIENT WEBSITE
Our patient website, radiology.ca, is available in 23 different languages. Patients can select their preferred language to access exam prep instructions, explanation of services, descriptions of exams, directions for our locations, as well as health and wellness articles. Patients can access this feature from the top right-hand corner of our homepage at radiology.ca.
EMAIL FOR UPDATES
To enhance communication and provide more timely service updates, we recommend transitioning from fax to email. If you’d like to start receiving updates by email, please send your name, company name, and preferred email address to bd@radiology.ca. If you’re already receiving updates by email, no further action is required. Please note: Patient exam reports cannot be sent via email.
